Objective:
John 4:24 says, “God isspirit, and His worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth.” We will dothis by leading the congregation in and by inspiring them to participate inspirit-filled, creative worship of Jesus Christ. We will do this with excellence and anointing, preparationand spontaneity. It will be fullof passion (spirit) and sincerity (truth). Mentorship and growth spiritually, musically and inleadership will be infused in the DNA of the Worship Department.
Experience:
You need to haveexperience in playing with a band. You do not necessarily need to know how to read music if you can playwell by ear. Your ability to dothis will be evaluated in the audition.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare spiritually to lead the people inworship (Be intentional in the way you prepare your heart for worship. Weekend worship will spring from dailyworship!)
2. Live a holy life (This does not mean thatyou are perfect, but it does mean that you are not living in sin. Ask the Holy Spirit to search yourheart on a regular basis to make sure you are living a life that is pleasing toHim.) Note: The Creative Arts Pastor maintains the right to ask a WorshipTeam member to step down from a place of leadership for a pre-determined amountof time if he/she is made aware of that the said individual is living in a waythat brings shame to Christ and/or the ministry.
3. Access the set list (either through a musicbinder or through the worshipteam.com website)
4. Learn the music prior to rehearsal
5. Attend rehearsals and workshops
6. Be on time to rehearsals (that means thatyour gear is set up and you are ready to begin at the allotted time)
7. Learn the lyrics to all the songs (if youare singing)
Requirements:
1. Salvation - a genuine relationship withJesus Christ that is characterized by hunger and constant spiritual growth
2. Attend Living Waters Community Church forat least 3 months prior to auditioning and consider LWCC your home church(which you attend regularly!)
3. Musical growth, either through musiclessons or through regular practice time
4. A teachable spirit and good attitude
AuditionProcess:
1. Fill out and submit the Audition Application. The Creative Arts Pastor will contact you to schedule a time toaudition.
2. Audition at scheduled time in front of theCreative Arts Pastor, Band Leader and possible other Worship Team leaders. You can view the Worship Team Auditions Evaluation Form on our website if you would like to seethe criteria that your audition will be based on.
3. You will receive a response from theCreative Arts Pastor within 1 week of your audition.
